New York-based Moran utilises the John Cage-pioneered ‘prepared piano’ format, whereby objects are placed in between the strings to refract its natural sound. Also citing minimalism Tori Amos as a key influences, her delicate compositions exude a mechanical but resplendent sound, to enlighten and invigorate the mind.
