THE GUITAR SELECTION

JOHN FAHEY - DAYS HAVE GONE BY

John Fahey is attributed with inventing the ‘American Primitive Guitar’ genre, derived from a minimalistic interpretation of acoustic folk and blues. This stripped-down production (his fingerstyle guitar is the only present sound, aside from an occasional ambient noise - a ship horn, the pitter-patter of rain) is a hazy, sedate companion for those warm summer days.
